You know you're a law nerd when...

As we've mentioned multiple times, Gavin is studying for the Texas Bar right now. He takes it THIS TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY! One part of me thinks, "I can't believe it's already here!" but the other part (like...99%) thinks, "HALLELUJAH!" I can't wait to have him back again.
Well the other night, around 10 pm we were laying in bed and he was still reading and working on some questions. Then he starts chuckling to himself, and when I ask him what's so funny he reads me a question that I'll summarize for you (mostly because it's boring law mumbo-jumbo):

"Gary Smith is a big rich guy yaddayaddayadda who dies and puts his money into a trust yaddayaddayaddada and Gary has kids and wills all his money to his granddaughter Blanche yaddayadda."

Gavin: [chuckles] See, isn't that funny? A granddaughter named Blanche nowadays?
Me: Ummm...no, Gavin. That's not funny. Not even a little bit. You've been studying way too long.

So please keep Gavin in your prayers, not only that he will do well on the test and remember what he studied, but also that his sense of humor isn't permanently damaged by his intense study of the law. :) Thursday can't come soon enough!

  1. Marianne just told me that she remembers my sense of humor becoming altered before my board exam last month, so we know how you both feel! Good luck and many blessings this week!

  5. Tiffany I can’t stop thinking of you and Gavin! I thought Stewart’s nine hour test was bad but Gavin up oned us on that one big time (I hope Stewart dose not try to up one Gavin now). Anyway, my fingers are crossed and I keep saying prayers for you both, because lets face it us wives go through our own sort test taking jitters even if we are not the ones taking the test. Can’t wait for you to have your husband back and to hear the good news that he passed with flying colors! HUGS!! Oh and Ps: Your little Emery is extra cute, I love the dark curls.
