Boise Zoo

While we were in Idaho we took a trip to the zoo. It had been a few years since I went last and they've made some good improvements. We went on the "Wallaby Walk-about" where the wallabies just hop around and come right up to you. One even tried to escape out of the fence with us. We also got to pet a huge Flemish rabbit and a skunk!

 The best part was feeding the giraffe. Honestly, I didn't think it was going to be that cool, but it TOTALLY WAS! You held up a leaf and the giraffe's tongue just snatched it right out! The special animal exhibits are always better than I think they will be. Like when we went to the Washington DC Zoo. Everybody was all excited about the panda and buying panda bags and stuffed panda bears and talking about the cute panda. I kept thinking, "It's just a panda, what's the big deal?" But then we went and saw it. ALL he did was sit behind this big pane of glass and eat bamboo but we sat and watched him for 15 MINUTES! A panda. Eating bamboo. I thought it was the cutest thing in the world and couldn't take my eyes off him. Then I wanted a panda shirt, bag, lanyard, keychain, hat, hoodie, and notebook. But, I digress.
